Ajax confirm Man United interested in van de Beek. Ajax CEO Edwin van der Sar has confirmed Manchester United have registered an interest in midfielder Donny van de Beek.
The Dutchman has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid. Several reports believed he has agreed personal terms with the La Liga giants before the coronavirus pandemic.
Reports on Sunday claimed the Red Devils had opened talks with the Dutchman over a move to Old Trafford and ready to compete with Real Madrid.
Van der Sar has appeared to confirm that United are back in the race for the midfielder because of admitting that the Red Devils have an ‘interest’ in the Netherlands international.
“It’s clear that clubs like Real Madrid and are Manchester United are showing interest in Donny van de Beek.” Van Der Sar told NOS.
Earlier this month, Van der Sar said that the club would allow van de Beek to leave but warned suitors that there would be no ‘discount’ despite in the current climate.
