Klopp decides on new top transfer target for Liverpool after Timo Werner secures Chelsea move, reports British Press.
As reported by Morror, Jurgen Klopp will turn his attention to signing Wolves winger Adama Traore after failing to land Timo Werner.
Werner has agreed to join Liverpool’s Premier League rivals Chelsea, despite holding multiple rounds of talks with Klopp.
The Reds felt unable to stump up his £53million release clause – something Chelsea are willing to do.
But Klopp is still hoping to add to his squad this summer. According to the Mirror, Liverpool have now made enquiries about the availability of Traore – who has been in sensational form this season.
He has scored four goals and provided seven assists in 22 Premier League starts and was described by Klopp as ‘unplayable’ earlier this season.
Traore’s form has helped put Wolves in a position where they could qualify for the Champions League with one last season push. How much Liverpool are willing to spend, however, remains uncertain.
