Real Madrid will sell James Rodriguez for a cut-price fee this summer. Marca reports they will have to settle for 20-25 million euros.
Both parties know that it is in their interests to manoeuvre a move away from the Spanish capital this summer. And with only one year left on his contract, Real Madrid need to sell him in the next two months. Otherwise they risk James being able to leave on a free next year.
Florentino Perez will be looking to offload the attacking midfielder, but in completely different circumstances to the conditions of a year ago. That’s when both Napoli and Atletico Madrid were interested in the player for a fee of around 45-50 million euros.
With just one year left on his contract and an unconvincing season on loan at Bayern Munich in 2018/19, Florentino will let the Colombian away for around the 25 million euro mark.
Everton, Arsenal, Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers will consider luring James to England. They know that Real Madrid are looking to offload the 28-year-old for a cut-price fee.
