Kai Havertz has an agreement to leave Bayer Leverkusen this summer. Rudi Völler says he can leave if certain conditions are met.
Leverkusen’s sporting director Rudi Völler says the club have an agreement with Havertz which allows him to leave at the end of the current season.
The 21-year-old has been linked with several clubs, including Chelsea, after scoring 15 times this season. Speculation over his future has increased after Leverkusen missed out on a place in next season’s Champions League.
“We have an agreement – if it fits, he can go this summer. As of now, he is a player of ours. We have our ideas, we know what he can do.” Völler told Bild.
“I personally hope he stays one more year. Of course, you can’t force anyone. Havertz knows what he owes to his colleagues, the fans and the club.”
