Pep Guardiola to splash cash to ensure Man City challenge Liverpool. Manchester City boss is ready to push through on overhaul of his squad.
Guardiola is ready to raid the transfer market to put Manchester City back on top of the Premier League.
City have failed to keep pace with Liverpool this season, seeing the Reds streak to the title with seven games to spare.
“Some players have to be replace,” admitted the City boss.
“In some areas we will have to do this, not for the lack of quality, but for the absence of Vinny [Kompany] and David [Silva], while Fernandinho and Sergio [Aguero] have one year left on their contracts.”
“I don’t know if they will extend or not. Some players have to be replace.”
“However, it’s not a disaster, or a bad thing. It’s part of football for the age, for the normal situation and the circumstances.”
“It happens elsewhere, too. Players who are considered important for the club decide to leave, they don’t want to be here and that was the case for Leroy [Sane].”
