La Liga hope to open stadiums at 1/3 capacity before the end of June.

Spanish press Marca reported that La Liga Santander retains a faint hope of stadiums being able to open up to 1/3 of their capacity before the end of June.

The opinion of the league and many leaders of top-flight clubs is that it would be economically beneficial to accelerate these measures.

Internal debates over how to spread people out in the stadiums continue and now the option of filling 1/3 of the stadium is on the table.

Such a decision will up to decision by the Spanish government and the Ministry of Health, as was the case by the choice to ensure players are tested significantly before returning to training.

Conversely, there are teams who don’t believe this to be likely and have pressed ahead with construction work at their usual stadiums, the most notable being Real Madrid’s Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
