Scholes names two young United players impressed the most this season. Paul Scholes says Mason Greenwood and Brandon Williams are the two Manchester United academy graduates who have impressed him the most.
The pair have both enjoyed breakthrough seasons after being given their chance in United’s first-team by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer earlier this campaign.
18-year-old Greenwood has scored 12 goals in 36 games across all competitions and earned praise for his unique ability to use both feet when striking the ball.
Williams has also enjoyed plenty of game time under Solskjaer and proved to be solid competition for first-choice left-back Luke Shaw.

“Yeah, I didn’t actually mention Mason Greenwood. That’s another really talented player.”
“Is he a centre-forward? Is he a wide player? We don’t really know his true position. But it doesn’t matter. 12 goals in his debut season, a lot of them probably sub appearances.”
“He’s been the one that you’ve looked at over the last couple of years who could really come into the squad. He have the same impact that Marcus had when he came into the team.”
“You think of Brandon Williams coming into the team. He’s been excellent. He never let anybody down. And he’s a real threat. He is aggressive, a proper United player. It looks like he’s going to sign a new contract as well.”
“So the future is bright. There’s a lot of big names coming back into the squad and a lot of young players coming through as well.”
