Manchester United star could convince Paul Pogba to sign new deal. Bruno Fernandes is the key to Paul Pogba’s long-term future at the club.
The pair are yet to play together, with Pogba struggling with an ankle injury since Fernandes arrived from Sporting Lisbon in January But they are set to team up when the Premier League resumes later this month.
According to the Daily Mail, Pogba believes Fernandes’ presence has helped the team gel. And that the two of them can together spark serious improvements in the club’s fortunes.
And United are hoping that will convince Pogba to commit his future to life at Old Trafford. Pogba’s current deal expires at the end of next season. Although there is a clause in his contract that can see it extended by a further 12 months.
It’s thought that Pogba – who has been heavily linked with Real Madrid and Juventus – can be swayed if he and Fernandes hit the ground running .The club and player could then work to extend his deal to beyond 2022.
